Our spirituality is based on the spirituality of St. Ignatius of Loyola who directed his life to do everything for the greater glory of God (A.M.D.G.). In that same spirit we seek to be contemplative in the midst of our activity as we seek to find God in everything. We follow in the spirit of Mary Aikenhead who saw how her call and desire for religious life could be fulfilled by integrating contemplation and action in the service of the poor.

We view our world and the entire cosmos as places of grace where God is fully alive and active. We take time each day to pray, in order to discover God’s dream in us for our broken world. We take time each month to reflect on God’s goodness. We take time out each year, usually eight days, to nourish our body, mind and spirit in silence and recollection, so that we can better co-operate with God in the on-going work of creation.
Our spirituality calls us to:
• be women of discernment • find God in all things • be available for mission • rely on Divine Providence • be contemplative in action (Afire with Justice 1995) • To find ways of bringing hope and consolation to our world by deepening our spirituality and sharing it with others ( General Chapter 2007)
